Drive from Hotel about 45 minutes to a village call Koto Baru where you start bicycle passing small road to several villages on the slope of Merapi Mountain where it is a nice spot to enjoy the fantastic view, where you can see the town of Bukittinggi, rice field terrace and visiting place where people working on making knife, axe, swords etc traditionally.

Stop will be made at coffee shop in the villages where you can get contact with local people during drinking coffee, tea etc and even it is possible to visit the house of local people or try working on the rice field with farmers.

 

The bicycle tour will be finish in the afternoon when you are arrival at your hotel, after take a rest you may enjoy swimming at your hotel.

 

ORANG UTAN ADVENTURE TREK

Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia (CCAI) sets to launch the Coca-Cola Indonesian Surfing Championship (ISC) Tour 2010 Season at Legian Beach, Bali and to celebrate the official signing of CCAI's sponsorship of the ISC Tour for the next three years.  CCAI first sponsored the ISC Tour in 2008, and the success of the Tour in Indonesia has prompted CCAI to continue its support.

West Sumatra`s tourism industry which was crippled by a 7.6-magnitude earthquake last week, does not only need to reconstruct its physical infrastructures but also to rehabilitate its image to restore its normal life. "Image rehabilitation is not less important than physical reconstruction of damaged hotels and restaurants," Tourism Marketing Director General Sapta Nirwandar said.
Indonesia plans to introduce a "tax refund" scheme for foreign tourists shopping here as early as next year, as stipulated under the amendment of the existing law on value-added tax and luxury tax, the House of Representatives says.
